Puerto Galera Escapade

Encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and travel! Time flies so fast. Itenirary? No problem, here it is.

This was my second time in the said island and is lucky to celebrate labor day too. Spending my 5 day vacation there is a ‘not so cheap’ experience because we got there without any hotel reservations or discount coupon. In short ‘walk in’, but the goodness of it is you get to check the hotels nearby.

From Manila, go to any bus station with a destination to Batangas City Pier (fee: 130 Php for students, 150 for not). Arriving at Batangas City Pier, Buy a back and forth ticket to the island of Puerto Galera for 500 Php (Bangka travel takes 2 hours I guess. I recommend Father & Son Bangka).

Upon arrival in the Island, pay 50 Php and 30 Php for the island fee and environmental fee. Before finding a hotel, book your schedule back to Batangas Pier to avoid schedule problems (they have outposts at the beachfront). After that, you are now free to roam around the white sand beach of Puerto Galera.

Warning! The restaurants are selling overpriced food (haha I warned you!)
Better eat at Parkway to be satisfied.
Your cameras! Keep them fully alive to capture every moment in the island. The night life? Firedancers, beer, entertainers everywhere haha name it. Basta mag enjoy kayo! Haha it may cost abit pricey but it’s all worthy.

Handle your boat tickets carefully. Anyway, there are ATM machines at the main city (tricycle 25 Php) if ever you ran out of cash. The best thing to do in the island is to party and enjoy every moment of your stay. 😇
